I am hoping to exhibit some of my work at the Hothouse (More Music Morecambe) starting April 23rd 2016. I shall post more details nearer the time. The exhibition has come about thanks to Morecambe Artist Colony.
I may show this new work (although it is still not quite finished). It does fit into the theme of the exhibition which is “paths” as it is a papercut of trees at Littledale using coloured Japanese handmade paper.
Over winter i have been trying to see what can be achieved by layering papercuts and using different colours. Its early days and these are still sketches (as it were) but the results are getting interesting.
This is Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire. I made it using 3 different shades of grey handmade paper which i cut and then layered on blue (not sure if blue works) and white sheets of paper.
From Sunday April 24th 2016 and then every last Sunday of the month over summer i shall hopefully be doing a stall at the Promenade Art Fair in Grange over Sands. Come and say hello if your about.
